Otto’s career in acting began in 1998 when landed the role of Chico Guerra on OZ (1998-2003), a true insiders look into the wheeling and dealing of our prison system. He went on to bring other troubled characters to life. Otto worked with many acclaimed directors, writers, and actors, giving him the experience in developing a scene and the importance in story telling.
No stranger to theater, in 2008, Otto played two roles in Beau Willimon’s FARRAGOT NORTH at the Atlantic Theater in New York, opposite Chris Noth, Olivia Thirlby, John Gallagher, Jr, directed by Tony award winner Doug Hughes.
"In one of the play's sharpest moments a waiter played by Otto Sanchez earnestly tells Stephen about his hard-luck American life, and you can see Stephen (John Gallagher, Jr.) translating it into a stump-speech anecdote in his head." —Ben Brantley, NY Times
Today, Otto splits his time between New York and Los Angeles. He is a proud member SAG-AFTRA.
